“RUN” AND “THE EYE OF THE STORM” NOMINATED IN THE BEST FILM CATEGORY AT THE FRENCH FILM SPEAKING AWARDS

The Awards ceremony will take place on December 5 in Abidjan

In all, it is 6 nominations announced on 34 that are assigned to two films supported by ACPCultures+

It's September 21, 2015, on TV5 Monde, that were announced the nominations and finalists for the “Thopées de la Francophonie” (lit.: French Speaking Film Awards).

Two films supported by ACPCultures + are nominated to the Best Film category 2015: Sékou Traoré’s THE EYE OF THE STORM and Philippe Lacôte’s RUN, 2 films out of 6.

The movies are present in other nominations:

Maimouna N'Diaye in THE EYE OF THE STORM is nominated for Best Actress.

Abdoul Karim Konaté in RUN is nominated for best actor.

Fargass Assandé in THE EYE OF THE STORM and Isaach De Bankole in RUN are nominated for best supporting actor.

Luis Marques for THE EYE OF THE STORM is nominated for best screenplay.

At the ceremony of the Francophone Film Awards, to be held December 5 at the Palace of Culture in Abidjan, ten prizes will be awarded in recognition of works and artists from the film world of the French-speaking countries. The event will be broadcast on TV5 Monde.

Organised by the Canadian Association ATFCiné, the goal is to award ten Trophies on the occasion of an annual awards ceremony dedicated to the cinema of French-speaking countries. The Francophone Film Awards highlights ten outstanding works and artists in these countries.
